Mission: 'Empowering you to make better decisions'
Helen Tung is a Barrister and NewSpace Legal Futurist empowering individuals, startups and organisations to make better decisions. She was called to the Bar in 2009 specialising in arbitration, litigation, maritime, space and commercial law.
In the field of law and policy, Helen is a member of the Dubai Courts of the Future Working Group, Founding member of the Maritime Autonomous Regulatory Systems Working Group (MARSWG) and member of the SmartShip ISO standards committee. Helen is also committee member of the Knowledge Management group of the International Bar Association addressing the role of AI and emergent technologies in law.
Helen is also the Founder of NewSpace2060, with a focus of training up startups in emergent technologies, space and medtech to grow exponentially and positively impact humanity.
In the field of commercial space, Helen is the Co-Chair of the Space Debris & Space Operations of IAC, Co-Chair of Space Resources IP session and Vice -Chair of the Enterprise Risk Management Committee.
She is also the Ambassador for the Innovation Zone of the IAC2020. She is also the Global Network Coordinator and Board Member of the Moon Village Association.
In the field of Medtech, Helen is member of the Wellness World -COVID19 - EXO Alliance.
She earned her LLB in European, Comparative Law at University of Sheffield and Tilburg University. She took The Hague Academy Directed Studies in International Private Law, studied the Bar with the University of Law and undertook studies in Maritime Security & International Law at the University of Greenwich. She is called to the Bar in 2009 and is a member of Gray's Inn.
Helen's mission is to empower people to make better decisions, which in turn would positively impact themselves and those around them - from startups to corporate organisations.
